According to Quang Ninh City People's Committee, the total state budget revenue of Quang Ninh in the first 8 months of the year reached 73,031 billion VND, equal to 101.74% of the 9-month scenario. Of which, domestic revenue reached 60,459 billion VND. However, the overrun mainly came from land use fees, of which the Ha Long Xanh Complex Urban Area project alone paid 26,359 billion VND.
In 2025, Quang Ninh's total budget revenue reached a record level, over 82,000 billion VND, equal to 149% of the central government's estimate, an increase of 53% compared to the same period, exceeding 43% of the plan. In which, domestic revenue is estimated to reach nearly 65,000 billion VND.
In 2026, Quang Ninh sets a budget revenue target of 100,000 billion VND. With this level, Quang Ninh will join the group of provinces and cities with annual budget revenue of 100,000 billion VND or more.
With the results achieved in the first 8 months of 2026, Quang Ninh's budget revenue for the whole year 2026 is expected to exceed 100,000 billion VND.
Meanwhile, in the first 8 months of 2026, Quang Ninh attracted over 1.1 billion USD of FDI capital, including 23 newly licensed projects with a total capital of 607.03 million USD and 16 projects adjusting to increase capital by 520 million USD.
Among the 12 secondary projects expected to be put into operation in industrial parks in 2026, 10 projects have been put into operation.
In the first 8 months of the year, Quang Ninh welcomed over 17 million visitors, an increase of 6% compared to the scenario; tourism revenue reached 51,008 billion VND, an increase of 23%.
