On March 19, 2026, in Da Nang city, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and Vietnam Environment Joint Stock Company (a member unit of Amaccao Group) held a Credit Contract Signing Ceremony to implement the Solid Waste Incineration Plant project in Khanh Son - one of the key environmental projects of the city.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of the State Bank, there was Mr. Le Anh Xuan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of State Bank Branch Region 9.
On the Agribank side, there were Mr. Pham Toan Vuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Member Council, General Director; Mr. Le Xuan Trung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Member of the Member Council; Ms. Phung Thi Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director; along with leaders of Departments and Centers at the Head Office, Representative Office of the Central region, Agribank branches in Bac Yen Bai, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Nam Da Nang and Agricultural Bank Insurance Joint Stock Company (ABIC).
On the side of Amaccao Group were Mr. To Van Nam - Founding Chairman; Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director, along with representatives of leaders of units under the Group.
Khanh Son Waste-to-Energy Plant project has a total investment of 3,000 billion VND, implemented at Khanh Son Solid Waste Treatment Complex, with a scale of nearly 9.4 hectares. The plant uses advanced German (Martin) waste-to-energy incineration technology, with a treatment capacity of about 1,100 tons of waste/day and night and generating electricity of about 18 MW. This is an important project in transforming waste treatment methods from landfill to power generation, in line with the trend of circular economic development and the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 according to the Government's orientation.
In the context that Da Nang city is aiming to become an ecological, modern and sustainable city, the pressure on domestic waste treatment is increasing. The project implementation is expected to contribute to fundamentally solving the urban environmental problem, while creating a clean energy source to serve the socio-economic development of the locality.
At the ceremony, Agribank signed a credit agreement of a maximum of 1,500 billion VND to finance the project. Bac Yen Bai Branch plays a leading role in arranging capital, coordinating with Nam Da Nang Branch to implement lending. At the same time, Agricultural Bank Insurance Joint Stock Company (ABIC) also signed an insurance contract with the role of leading insurer, contributing to ensuring financial safety and minimizing risks in the project implementation process.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Toan Vuong - General Director of Agribank emphasized: "The financing of the Khanh Son waste-to-energy project is a specific step to concretize the direction of green and sustainable urban development of Da Nang City as well as the green growth policy of the Party and Government. Through providing credit for the project, Agribank continues to affirm its role as a key state-owned commercial bank in accompanying socio-economic development programs, especially environmental projects that have a positive impact on the community. Today's project is proof of the "capital greening" orientation that Agribank has steadfastly pursued.
In addition, the General Director of Agribank believes that with the business philosophy, scale and experience of Agribank and Amaccao Group, the project will be implemented effectively, contributing to creating sustainable value for society".
On the side of Amaccao Group, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director affirmed that he will focus resources, accelerate the project implementation progress, ensure quality, and put the factory into operation as soon as possible. At the same time, the project not only performs well the task of environmental treatment but also aims to become a highlight of environmental education and city sightseeing.
Previously, on the afternoon of March 18, 2026, the Agribank working delegation directly surveyed the reality at the construction site, highly appreciated the investor's preparation, and affirmed that this is not only an economic project but also has profound environmental and social significance, towards a typical circular economy model in the Central region.
When put into operation, Khanh Son Waste-to-Energy Plant will contribute to increasing electricity output for the national grid; solving the economic, cultural and social development requirements of the locality; meeting the increasing demand for waste treatment and reducing environmental pollution of Da Nang city; and at the same time bringing economic efficiency and legitimate profits to investors. Through this, the project creates a comprehensive value in economy, society and environment, contributing to improving the quality of life of people and promoting urban development towards green and modernity.
In addition to this project, Amaccao Group is also proposing to coordinate with Da Nang City to handle the entire existing landfill area, gradually eliminate accumulated landfill waste, fundamentally improve the environment, towards forming a green, clean, and modern urban - service - circular industrial complex.
The signing event further affirms Agribank's pioneering role in leading capital flows to serve green and sustainable development.
