In addition to saving costs, in recent years, the Ministry has resolved many backlog projects to help clear bottlenecks, avoid wasting social resources, and at the same time open up opportunities to mobilize investment, facilitate development, and ensure energy security...
"In 2024, the Ministry has also proactively and resolutely "streamlined, compact, and strengthened" the apparatus in the spirit of summarizing Resolution 18, proposing to streamline nearly 18% of the number of focal points of units under the Ministry and strongly streamline the operating apparatus from within" - Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan clearly stated.
Mr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine emphasized that in the history of formation and development of each country, fighting corruption and waste has always been a difficult problem, a constant battle closely linked to the fate and survival of the State and Government. Because saving and fighting waste is a fundamental principle in managing and increasing resources for development of many countries in the world.
According to Mr. Le Hai Binh, competition between major powers, the increasing frequency and severity of traditional and non-traditional security challenges are seriously threatening the development of nations and the prosperity of all humanity.
The COVID-19 pandemic is the trigger that has caused a severe recession in the global economy. Currently, the burden of public debt and persistent budget deficits remain a constant threat to governments. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned that government debt around the world could reach a level equal to the annual output of the global economy by the end of this decade, and could even quickly surpass that threshold sooner if economic growth weakens.
Along with that, the application of the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has been promoted, with breakthroughs, opening up potentials and favorable opportunities to help small and medium-sized countries innovate their growth models towards greener, cleaner, more sustainable growth, and participate more effectively in the global supply chain. This is a favorable condition for implementing an anti-waste strategy combined with the application of modern science and technology in resource management.
Therefore, fighting waste associated with preventing corruption, negativity and streamlining the apparatus to be effective and efficient is the policy, decision and strong determination of the Party and State to gather and strengthen resources to accelerate and make a strong breakthrough in the new era.
