On the afternoon of July 16, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam Giang, Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, had a working session with Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) to survey and evaluate the results of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

At the working session, PV GAS leaders reported on the overall situation of the Corporation's implementation of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation tasks. Accordingly, the enterprise has gradually completed the management mechanism of science and technology and innovation activities; developed a strategy for science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation to 2030, with orientation to 2050; and issued a plan for implementation in the period 2025-2030.
Research and development activities continue to be promoted by PV GAS in the direction of closely following practical production requirements, energy transition trends and sustainable development goals. From the beginning of 2025 to the end of June 2026, the Corporation has completed 6 science and technology tasks, and continues to implement many key topics on developing new generation gas infrastructure, building smart factories, researching and applying green hydrogen, CO2 transportation technology as well as solutions to serve energy transition.
In particular, many research tasks of PV GAS are going in the right direction of developing national strategic technologies, including research into small-scale green hydrogen production, assessing the ability to blend hydrogen with natural gas on existing pipeline systems, developing materials for CO2 transportation and building technical solutions to meet the development requirements of the hydrogen industry in Vietnam.
In parallel with research activities, the initiative and technical improvement movement continues to spread deeply throughout the enterprise. In the 2023-2025 period, PV GAS recorded 352 unit-level initiatives, 60 corporation-level initiatives and 10 group-level initiatives, contributing to improving production efficiency, optimizing operations and gradually forming an innovation culture in the enterprise.
Speaking at the working session, Director Nguyen Thi Lam Giang acknowledged and highly appreciated PV GAS's proactiveness in concretizing the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW through action programs, development strategies and highly applicable research tasks. The achieved results show that the enterprise has gradually turned science, technology, innovation and digital transformation into an important driving force in improving productivity, business efficiency and competitiveness.

The Director emphasized that Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW has identified the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as one of the strategic breakthroughs, creating a foundation for the country's rapid and sustainable growth in the new period.
For the Industry and Trade sector, this is not only a requirement for technological innovation but also a driving force to form modern production models, develop new industries, increase added value and gradually master core technologies.
In the context of strong energy transition taking place globally, Director Lam Giang requested PV GAS to continue to promote its role as a key enterprise of the gas industry, increase investment in research and development, promote cooperation with research institutes, universities, and technology enterprises at home and abroad; and at the same time promote the application of achievements of science and technology, artificial intelligence, big data and digital transformation into the entire value chain of enterprises, creating a foundation for green and sustainable development.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation visited PV GAS's Operations Center; introduced strategic technology; directly learned about digital technology application solutions in management, production operation, equipment monitoring and process optimization. The delegation also listened to introductions about key projects, technology research and development programs and orientations for building the Corporation's innovation ecosystem in the coming time.
