On September 30, the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that the People's Committee of Ca Mau province reported to the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee; the Ministry of Home Affairs on the plan to arrange public service units and state-owned enterprises in Ca Mau province.
Notably, in the proposal to reorganize state-owned enterprises, the report of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province clearly stated: Ca Mau currently has 7 enterprises, including: Bac Lieu Lottery One Member Co., Ltd.; Ca Mau Lottery One Member Co., Ltd.; Ca Mau Water Supply Joint Stock Company; Bac Lieu Water Supply Joint Stock Company; U Minh Ha One Member Co., Ltd.; Ngoc Hien One Member Co., Ltd.; Ca Mau Urban Environment Joint Stock Company.

Proposed plan: Maintain the status quo of Bac Lieu Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. and Ca Mau Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. (after receiving the opinion of the Ministry of Finance, it will be implemented).
Maintain the current status of Ngoc Hien Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. and U Minh Ha Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. (if merging, it will face many difficulties due to the geographical location gap, in the coming time the province will study the arrangement).
Maintain state-owned companies: Bac Lieu Water Supply Joint Stock Company (the state holds 98.65% of charter capital); Ca Mau Water Supply Joint Stock Company (the state holds 71.49% of charter capital).
For Ca Mau Urban Environment Joint Stock Company: implement the transfer of a part of state capital according to Decision No. 1479/QD-TTg dated November 29, 2022 of the Prime Minister on approving the Plan to rearrange state-owned enterprises and enterprises with state capital for the period 2022 - 2025; Ca Mau Urban Environment Joint Stock Company has developed a state capital divestment plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee, a roadmap for implementing state capital divestment and divestment for the period 2022 - 2025, the state capital divestment rate is 40.88%, the remaining state capital ratio of the company after divestment is 51% (according to Section 1, Appendix III of Decision No. 1479/QD-TTg).
For public service units, Ca Mau province also proposed to retain a number of specific and separate units according to regulations such as: Public service units, according to the arrangement plan in the field of education, the province plans to keep Bac Lieu University; 53 high schools, secondary schools, ethnic boarding schools; 679 kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools.
Meanwhile, the province plans to rearrange 6 colleges to 3 schools, including: Merging Ca Mau Medical College and Bac Lieu Medical College, becoming Ca Mau Medical College; merging Vietnam - Korea Ca Mau Vocational College and Bac Lieu Vocational College, becoming Ca Mau Vietnam - Korea Vocational College; merging Ca Mau Community College and Bac Lieu College of Economics and Technology, becoming Ca Mau College.
In the health sector, the province plans to keep 8 provincial-level general and specialized hospitals; 7 provincial-level health centers; 5 old district-level general hospitals; 16 regional health centers.
