From 0:00 on May 1st, Cao Bang province began piloting the implementation of the Digital Border Gate platform at Tra Linh international border gate, in order to improve management efficiency and create favorable conditions for import and export activities.
According to document No. 1288/UBND-TH, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee requests all vehicles transporting goods in and out of the Tra Linh international border gate area (through barriers No. 1 and No. 2) to fully declare information on a digital platform before circulating.
Businesses operating import and export through border gates are responsible for accurately online declaration of information about vehicles, drivers and goods.
The declaration must be completed before the vehicle reaches the border gate area to serve the inspection and supervision of functional agencies.
Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee requests businesses to proactively coordinate with functional forces in the process of checking and comparing data.
In case difficulties and obstacles arise, businesses should promptly report to Sub-Department of Customs Region XVI (through Tra Linh International Border Gate Customs) for support and guidance.

This is a step to gradually build a modern and transparent digital border gate system, contributing to administrative procedure reform and promoting import and export activities in the area.
Businesses can declare in advance, process electronic dossiers and monitor vehicles and goods in real time, thereby shortening customs clearance time, reducing logistics costs and limiting congestion at border gates.
According to the plan, the implementation roadmap includes 3 phases: preparation until the end of March; construction and piloting at Ta Lung and Tra Linh border gates in April-May 2026; official operation throughout the province from June 1 after the decision is issued.
Sub-Department of Customs Region XVI is assigned to preside over the development of professional procedures; the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board is responsible for technical infrastructure, contractor selection and operational resource assurance.
Forces such as border guards, police, and related departments and agencies are responsible for coordinating security, specialized inspection and data security.
It is known that some localities such as Lang Son and Lao Cai have deployed the digital border gate platform for a long time and achieved clear efficiency in customs clearance and procedural reform, while Cao Bang has just started piloting in 2026, showing that this locality is still in the group of slower implementation in the digital transformation process in the border gate area.
