On June 30, according to information from the People's Committee of Yen Bai province, Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just signed a Decision to sanction administrative violations in the field of land and aquaculture with the amount of 400 million VND.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee fined Xuan Thien Yen Bai Joint Stock Company (located in Khao Mang commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province), with Nguyen Ngoc Thanh as legal representative, VND 350 million for encroaching on more than 112.7 hectares of land managed by State agencies and organizations in the communes of Mo Vang, Dai Son, Vien Son, Dai Phac of Van Yen district, Yen Bai province.
The fine of 50 million VND was imposed for the company's construction on the land (Dong Sung hydroelectric reservoir) converted from land specializing in rice cultivation with an impact on the surface layer, but there is no plan to use the surface layer.
In addition to the fine, the People's Committee of Yen Bai province forced Xuan Thien Yen Bai Joint Stock Company to return the illegal profits gained from the violation of more than 5.6 billion VND.
The total amount of fines and illegal profits that this enterprise must return to the state budget is more than 6 billion VND.
Previously, in 2024, Xuan Thien Yen Bai Joint Stock Company was fined more than 1.4 billion VND by the People's Committee of Yen Bai province for occupying land with a total area of up to 48.71 hectares.
