On June 19, Dong Nai Hydropower Company (Lam Dong province) said that in the first 6 months of 2025, the unit has effectively maintained power production and business activities.
The plants operate safely and stably, contributing to ensuring national energy security and serving local socio-economic development.
Since the beginning of the year, the company's electricity output has reached 870.3 million kWh. It is expected that by the end of June 2025, the output will reach about 940.9 million kWh, equivalent to 104% of the 6-month plan for the dry season and 68.3% of the plan for the whole year.
The units operate in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the national power system, exceeding the economic and technical targets assigned by Power Generation Corporation 1.
In addition, the company also ensures downstream water supply during the dry season, effectively serving agricultural production and people's daily life, preventing water shortages or power outages.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company said that to achieve the above results, the company has proactively developed a reasonable water regulation plan, closely coordinating with relevant units in operating Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4 reservoirs.
Strictly complying with the inter-reservoir operation process in the Dong Nai river basin has contributed to ensuring water flow downstream and optimizing power generation efficiency.
It is forecasted that in the last 6 months of the year, electricity demand will continue to increase while the weather may experience extreme phenomena such as heavy rain and flooding. The company aims to operate safely and effectively to complete the annual output target of 1,376 million kWh.
"We will continue to focus on technical indicators, strengthen inspection of water pipelines, and effectively carry out the work of restoring and minoring the units to ensure stable operation.
On the other hand, the company also seriously implements plans on labor safety, environmental protection, natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, Mr. Vinh emphasized.
In addition to power production activities, Dong Nai Hydropower Company always focuses on implementing social security programs.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the company has implemented many practical activities with a total budget of 476.8 million VND from different sources.
Typically, the company has supported the construction of 3 charity houses for disadvantaged households in Dak Nong province, each worth 70 million VND.
In addition, the company also organizes the repair of the power system for students in difficult circumstances at the dormitory of Dak Glong District Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities (Dak Nong Province), contributing to improving living and studying conditions for them.
