Implementing the Official Dispatch of EVN and EVNNPT on urgent response to storm No. 5, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT-TKCN) of Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2) has directed units to urgently deploy storm response measures.
PTC2 directs units including the Hue and Quang Tri Special Forces Teams to activate PCTT & TKCN plans, proactively arrange forces, vehicles, and materials, focus on closely monitoring forecasts and warnings about natural disasters to proactively take timely response measures.
At the headquarters, the production operator, the units inspect and handle the drainage system, reinforce, tie houses, tie warehouses for storing documents and supplies for backup equipment, check the readiness of the backup power system, communication channels to ensure smooth operation.
By 2:00 p.m. on August 24, the preparation work to respond to storm No. 5 of PTC2 in general and of the Quang Tri and Hue Investment Team had been basically completed.
The Hue and Quang Tri Power Transmission Teams have focused on inspecting the foundations of poles and drainage ditches, especially vulnerable locations and locations for handling landslides caused by storms that are being handled.
Quickly handle defects at vulnerable locations, ensuring smooth communication. Prepare adequate materials, means and tools to be ready for handling incidents caused by storms.
Proactively prepare essential materials for landslide handling: tarpaulins, steel nets...; Organize strict handling and immediately prune trees inside and outside the route that are at risk of falling, violating the incident distance before the storm makes landfall.
Re-check all surveillance cameras on power lines and vulnerable locations, increase resource reserves to ensure that surveillance cameras on the power line work well during storms.
For transformer stations, the units have inspected and sealed all boxes and outdoor cable boxes to ensure coverage, prevent water from leaking into the cabin, unblock the flood-proof drainage system, and ensure rapid drainage during heavy and prolonged rain.
Focus on bracing outdoor booths, rooftop batteries, doors of Bay housing, control houses, shift rooms... Unblock the flow of embankment systems and drainage ditches to prevent landslides, pay attention to stations with positive slopes, check drainage, prevent moisture of 22kV cable car systems, 22kV, 10kV distribution cabinets, test run power sources and check emergency communication systems...
In addition, PTC2 has implemented the 4-on-site motto, coordinating with local authorities; preparing life insurance vehicles, canoes, tarpaulins, fuel, necessities, ready to be used. Maximize the application of technology in operational management such as: Camera, flycam and apply software to manage, operate and supervise work such as D-office, Line Management, E-mail, Zalo....
Currently, the PCLB & PTC2 Industrial Park Executive Board has been present in the North of Quang Tri province (old Quang Binh) to be on duty and report to comrade Luu Viet Tien - Deputy General Director, Head of the PCLB & PTCCN Executive Board of National Power Transmission Corporation, who is on duty to command the prevention of storm No. 5 in Ha Tinh province, about the prevention of storm No. 5 of PTC2.
