In the area of Nguyen Sinh Sac Street (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City), many traders have displayed hundreds of small and medium-sized chrysanthemum pots for sale. Ms. Ha, a chrysanthemum seller on Ho Tung Mau Street, said that compared to small and medium-sized chrysanthemums, large-sized chrysanthemums are twice as expensive. However, as of now (January 26), there are no more pots to sell.
"Most of the customers who buy large chrysanthemum pots are companies, shops, and businesses. Because large chrysanthemums are grown in pots with the words Phuc, Loc, Tho, they are very popular," said Ms. Ha.
According to Ms. Ha, the large chrysanthemums were sold out since December 20 and most of them had to be ordered in advance. Meanwhile, the regular and crystal chrysanthemums offered for sale at VND900,000/pair have few buyers. In Cam Le district, Ms. Thuy, a flower vendor near Hoa Cam overpass, said that there are only a few pairs of large chrysanthemum pots left at VND1.8 million/pair. However, these flower pots have already been reserved.
Meanwhile, kumquat trees are chosen by many people. Mr. Tran Be, a trader at Lien Chieu flower market, informed: "This year's Tet comes early, so people also buy earlier than last year. Depending on the size and shape, each kumquat pot has a different price."
According to Mr. Be, kumquat pots cost from 2 million to 2.5 million VND/pot. Most of the kumquats this year are big, even and beautiful.
