The 2025 East-West Economic Corridor International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair - Da Nang ( EWEC Fair - Da Nang 2025) is an activity under the 2025 National Trade Promotion Program approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The fair is held annually to promote the image, socio-economic potential, investment, trade and tourism of localities and organizations, businesses, and investors on the East-West economic corridor.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - said that Da Nang City is honored to continue to be selected by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the locality to organize the international trade fair, tourism and investment of the East-West - Da Nang Economic Corridor 2025 in the National Trade Promotion Program.
This year's fair has a special meaning, this is the first international trade promotion event held since the official merger of Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, marking the beginning of a new development phase of the city, contributing to promoting friendly cooperation, mutual understanding and trust with countries on the East-West economic corridor and countries in the region.
Da Nang City currently has a population of more than 3 million people, the largest city in the 6 centrally-run cities with 2 international airports, 3 international seaports and a fairly synchronous transportation system, connecting continuously along the North - South and East - West axes.
Logistics is considered a key industry, connecting Tien Sa, Lien Chieu, Chu Lai seaports to the Mekong sub-regions via the East-West economic corridor, helping to connect more effectively between regions, facilitating trade, transportation of goods and service provision between localities, while creating a more attractive tourism and investment destination.
According to Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, this year's fair brings together more than 220 booths of 150 enterprises from 20 provinces and cities across the country, along with enterprises, diplomatic agencies and international organizations of 6 countries including: Russian Federation, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.
Within the framework of the fair, many exciting activities and events took place such as: Exhibition area, introducing OCOP products, typical characteristics, typical rural industries, industrial products; Tourism products, services and investment calling projects, high-tech parks and industrial parks of Da Nang City;
The 2025 Da Nang - Export Promotion and Trade Connection Conference; Training on "Skilles in applying digital technology in business operations for businesses" will practically contribute to improving competitiveness and expanding cooperation opportunities.
