On the afternoon of February 3, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province organized a conference to award decisions adjusting the investment policy of the Project to Expand and Increase the capacity of Nhan Co Alumina Plant (Nhan Co commune) and the Lam Dong Bauxite - Aluminum Complex Project (Bao Lam 1 commune) to Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV).

Attending the conference were Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dang Hong Sy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of departments and agencies.
The project to expand and increase the capacity of Nhan Co Alumina Plant has a total investment of about 29,986 billion VND, investing in a new alumina production line with a capacity of 1.2 million tons/year, construction area of 870ha. It is expected that the project will be put into operation in 2030.
The project to expand the Lam Dong bauxite - aluminum complex has a total investment of about 29,869 billion VND, investing in the second alumina production line with a capacity of 1.2 million tons/year, construction area of 20.79ha. Implementation progress from the second quarter of 2025 to the third quarter of 2030.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that these are the largest industrial projects of the province to date, playing an important role in the development of the mining, metallurgy and aluminum industry.
He highly appreciated the proactiveness, seriousness and determination of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited in the process of preparing dossiers, coordinating with departments and branches to complete investment procedures.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Group and member units to continue to strictly comply with legal regulations on investment, land, environment, and construction; and at the same time requested departments, branches, and localities to closely coordinate to soon deploy the next tasks.

TKV General Director Vu Anh Tuan committed to focusing maximum resources on implementing the project on schedule, strictly complying with legal regulations on investment, construction and environmental protection.
According to Mr. Tuan, when put into operation, the two projects will increase TKV's total alumina output to 4 million tons/year, contribute about 4,000 billion VND to the budget and create jobs for about 3,000 local and Central Highlands workers.
