On December 20, the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that the locality aims to recover and continue to grow strongly in all indicators by 2025, at least about 13%.
Of which, it is expected to welcome about 18.36 million tourists to Ba Ria - Vung Tau for entertainment and relaxation (up 13.91%), thereby achieving an estimated revenue of about VND 19,840 billion (up 14.6%). In particular, accommodation revenue is expected to reach VND 7,065 billion (up 13.22%).
In 2024, the locality welcomed about 16.12 million visitors (reaching 103.71% of the plan), revenue from tourists reached about 17,313 billion VND (reaching 104.98% of the plan).
In the coming time, Ba Ria - Vung Tau tourism will aim to develop into a spearhead, sustainable economic sector, affirming its role as a regional and international tourism center, a leading tourist destination of the country.
To achieve these goals, Ba Ria - Vung Tau will develop tourism in the direction of green and sustainable growth, associated with the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values; at the same time, deploy in a professional and modern direction, focusing on depth and quality reaching international standards.
The province currently has 1,451 tourist accommodation establishments (about 28,532 rooms); of which 72 hotels have been classified according to standards from 1 star to 5 stars (8,177 rooms) including: 12 5-star hotels, 16 4-star hotels, 22 3-star hotels, 11 2-star hotels, 11 1-star hotels.
The tourism industry will also continue to promote the improvement of the quantity and quality of 5-star tourist accommodation facilities and the formation of high-quality service programs.
