The Board of Directors (BOD) of EVN Finance has just received the resignation letter from the position of General Director of Mr. Mai Danh Hien and the resignation letter from the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2023 - 2028 term of Mr. Le Manh Linh. Mr. Hien said that this decision comes from personal wishes and the assignment of the Board of Directors, but he continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
On the same day, the Board of Directors issued Resolution No. 32 to dismiss Mr. Mai Danh Hien from the position of General Director and Resolution No. 34 to dismiss Mr. Le Manh Linh from the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors also approved Mr. Linh to hold the role of a member of the Board of Directors concurrently acting General Director from August 21, and the personnel are expected to be officially appointed as General Directors after the State Bank approves.
Mr. Mai Danh Hien was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN Finance for the 2023 - 2028 term, effective from August 21. EVN Finance also reappointed Mr. Le Anh Tuan as Deputy General Director of EVN Finance from September 15, with a term of appointment of 5 years.
The Board of Directors also decided to reappoint Mr. Le Anh Tuan as Deputy General Director of the company from September 15, for a term of 5 years. From August 21, Mr. Pham Trung Kien - Chairman of the Board of Directors - is the legal representative of EVN Finance.
In parallel with personnel changes, EVN Finance has just received an inspection conclusion from the State Bank. The report pointed out a series of violations in the company's credit activities, including: granting credit to customers who are not eligible for loans, violating loan appraisal and approval procedures, lack of supervision in loan use, incomplete credit records, violations in loan term, collateral, debt classification and risk provisioning.
Notably, the inspection results show that EVN Finance has a high credit concentration for some large customer groups, with potential risks. The company also violates regulations when lending in foreign currency. The State Bank Inspectorate has issued a warning about risks in lending activities and requested remedies.
Previously, on June 5, the Chief Inspector of the State Bank issued a decision to fine EVN Finance a total of VND 635 million for three administrative violations. The enterprise has complied with and paid the fine in full.
