Domestic coffee prices
On August 15, coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces continued to increase. In Dak Lak, the price reached 114,800 VND/kg, an increase of 3,300 VND; Lam Dong was at 114,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,000 VND; Gia Lai reached 114,600 VND/kg, an increase of 3,400 VND; and in the growing area of the old Dak Nong (now merged into Lam Dong province), 115,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,400 VND was recorded.
The average price in the whole region reached about 114,800 VND/kg, an increase of 3,000 - 3,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Compared to the beginning of 2025 (119,000 - 119,800 VND/kg), coffee prices are currently about 4,800 - 5,800 VND/kg lower.
Compared to the same period in 2024 (Coffee price recorded on August 15, about 117,000 VND/kg), coffee price is currently about 2,200 VND/kg lower.
World coffee prices
In the world market, coffee prices continued to increase in the session of August 14. On the London Stock Exchange, the Robusta contract for September 2025 (RMU25) reached 4,084 USD/ton, up 151 USD (+3.84%), the highest in 2 months. The November 2025 term reached 3,952 USD/ton, up 153 USD; the January 2026 term reached 3,814 USD/ton, up 120 USD.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Arabica prices also increased sharply. The September 2025 term contract (KCU25) reached 326.50 cents/lb, up 6.90 cents (+2.16%); the December 2025 term reached 318.70 cents/lb, up 6.05 cents; the March 2026 term reached 308.90 cents/lb, up 5.90 cents.
According to market data, coffee prices have increased sharply since mid- last week after the Brazilian Ministry of Commerce reported that unroasted coffee exports in July decreased by 20.4% compared to the same period, down to 161,000 tons. Cecafe said that green coffee exports in July decreased by 28% to 2.4 million bags; of which Arabica decreased by 21%, Robusta decreased by 49%. Total coffee exports in July decreased by 28% to 2.7 million bags, while exports in the first 7 months of the year decreased by 21% to 22.2 million bags.
In addition, ICE-managed Arabica inventories fell to 726,661 bags a 15-month low, while Robusta inventories also fell to a 2-week low of 6,928 lots.
