"The main reason for the increase in vegetable prices is that in the recent past, there have been continuous storms, there are few supplies of goods from outside the region, plus increased transportation costs. There is a price increase, but not to the point of "priced shock"

To ensure a supply of essential goods stabilizes the market in the last months of 2025, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien has requested the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally run cities in the last months of the year to have a plan to prepare goods and a plan to implement market stabilization work to ensure supply of goods, especially essential goods for holidays, Tet, peak consumption, contributing to ensuring social security and controlling inflation. Proactively provide information on the supply situation and prices of essential goods to local media agencies, in order to provide full information to people, avoiding confusion and causing market instability.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also requested manufacturing enterprises to increase production capacity to ensure adequate supply of goods to localities. In particular, there is a plan to produce and supply goods for increased demand at the end of the year and the Lunar New Year 2026. For distributors, strictly implement the instructions of the Department of Industry and Trade of localities in implementing programs to reserve goods and stabilize the market at the end of the year and Lunar New Year.
