On March 20, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee organized a Meeting Program with provincial leaders with businesses and investors in Ho Chi Minh City in 2026 to introduce the business environment, preferential policies and investment attraction areas, thereby promoting cooperation and project implementation.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that in the past year, Gia Lai has deployed 3 industrial parks, prepared 7 more parks, and formed a multi-sectoral ecosystem from industry, agriculture to tourism. The province also promotes market connection, focusing on innovation and sustainable development.
Provincial leaders assessed that investment opportunities are clear, calling on domestic businesses to boldly participate. At the same time, Gia Lai committed to administrative procedure reform, direct support, shortening processing time to about 60 days and clearly guiding dossiers from the beginning to avoid arising and prolonging.
Assessing Gia Lai's development potential, Dr. Tran Du Lich said that the locality is making clear progress in connectivity infrastructure and logistics. In the next one to two years, the infrastructure system may become more synchronized, playing the role of a gateway to international connection through roads, airports and transport routes.
If exploited effectively, Gia Lai can completely welcome international visitors and quickly transship goods. The development of logistics centers and inland ports (ICDs) is also being promoted, creating a foundation for economic growth. At the same time, the province is oriented to attract investment in digital infrastructure and technology fields such as AI, blockchain, with the interest of many large enterprises.
From a business perspective, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association said that the program has clarified the potential and opened up many investment opportunities, showing the determination of provincial leaders in creating breakthroughs. He also emphasized the role of the Gia Lai business community in Ho Chi Minh City as an important resource, which can make practical contributions to the development orientation.
However, logistics is still a major bottleneck when transportation costs are high and infrastructure is not synchronized, reducing competitiveness. Despite having advantages in raw material areas, especially in agriculture, Gia Lai is difficult to maximize if the problem of connection and transportation is not effectively solved.
