World oil price today
World oil prices today fell sharply. At 09:10 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 66.86 USD/barrel, down 1.65 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.41%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 68.51 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 67.69 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 68.97 USD/barrel, down 1.55 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.20%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 70.52 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 69.16 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices suddenly turned sharply down. At the end of the first trading session of the week, both Brent and WTI oil decreased by 7.2%. By this morning's session, world oil prices continued to fall sharply.
According to analysts, world oil prices suddenly dropped sharply after Iran did not target the strategic shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz, but launched missile strikes targeting US bases in Qatar and Iraq in response to Washington's airstrikes on Tehran's nuclear facilities.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 24, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 19, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices increased simultaneously.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by VND 1,170/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND 1,280/liter; diesel increased by VND 1,450/liter; kerosene increased by VND 1,410/liter; mazut increased by VND 1,180/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the upcoming price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may continue to increase sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 700-800 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 700-800 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 800-1,000 VND/liter.
