World oil prices today
World oil prices fell across the board on November 30 (Vietnam time). At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil was at 68.14 USD/barrel, down 0.58 USD/barrel, or 0.84%. WTI crude oil closed yesterday's trading session at 68.72 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 68.88 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $71.84 a barrel, down $0.57 a barrel, or 0.79 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $72.78 a barrel and opened today at $72.46 a barrel.
Thus, world oil prices fluctuated strongly in the last trading session of the week when they maintained an upward momentum from the beginning of the session, but by the end of the session, both WTI and Brent crude oil simultaneously turned down. At the end of the trading session, both oil products decreased by about 0.80%.
According to analysts, world oil prices turned down due to concerns about supply risks from the Israel-Hezbollah conflict and the prospect of increased supply in 2025 even as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) are expected to extend the production cut agreement.
A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah that took effect on November 27 has reduced oil risk premiums, sending prices plunging despite accusations by both sides of violating the agreement.
