Gasoline and oil prices today 9/2: Sharp decrease

World oil prices today

World gasoline and oil prices today simultaneously decreased sharply. At 10:22 am (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 62.96 USD/barrel, down 0.60 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.94%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 63.55 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 62.77 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 67.39 USD/barrel, down 0.66 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.97%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 68.05 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 67.17 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

February 9th, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The above domestic retail gasoline and oil prices are adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on February 5, 2025.

Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 100 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 35 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 280 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 214 VND/liter; mazut oil increased by 517 VND/kg.

The discount rates for gasoline and oil products today, February 9th, at some domestic gasoline and oil businesses are as follows:

+ Hai Linh Warehouse, Hai Phong: Diesel oil 0.05S: 900 VND/liter; Gasoline RON 95 - III: 900 VND/liter.

+ Bac Ninh Warehouse: Diesel oil 0.05S: 750 VND/liter; Gasoline RON 95 - III: 750 VND/liter.

+ Nghi Son Warehouse: Diesel oil 0.05S: 900 VND/liter; Gasoline RON 95 - III: 900 VND/liter.

- Tu Luc Petroleum Joint Stock Company 1:

+ Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 850 VND/liter;

+ Diesel oil 0.001S-V: 750 VND/liter;

+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 800 VND/liter;

+ E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter.

- MIPEC Petroleum Trading and Trading Co., Ltd. - MIPEC Petro (applied to the Northern region):

+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 700 VND/liter.

+ Diesel oil 0.05S-II: 600 VND/liter.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period

According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase.

In which, it is forecast that the price of RON 95 - III gasoline will increase by about 190 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline will increase by about 180 VND/liter; Diesel oil will increase by about 80 VND/liter.
