On October 13, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee held a dialogue conference and met with businesses and entrepreneurs in 2025 with the theme "Government accompanies, businesses are steadfast".
At the conference, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Le Van Luong said that the whole province currently has over 2,700 enterprises and cooperatives with a total registered capital of nearly VND66 trillion, operating in most fields.
Enterprises and cooperatives have made important contributions to the development and stability of the socio-economy, job creation and income for workers, contributing to the State budget and implementing the province's social security policies.
In 2025, Lai Chau province's economy will continue to remain stable and have a fairly good growth rate. Enterprises and cooperatives have contributed 67.5% of the province's budget revenue (about VND 1,605 billion). Creating jobs for over 22,000 workers with an average income of about 7 million VND/person/month.
At the conference, enterprises and cooperatives raised 53 recommendations to the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches, of which: the Agriculture and Environment sector had 31 recommendations; Industry and Trade, Construction had 18 recommendations; Culture - Society had 4 recommendations.
The recommendations include: Mechanisms and policies on vocational training, support for retraining for workers; policies on retaining local workers; mobilizing resources from the private economic sector to invest in energy projects; innovating and perfecting mechanisms and policies to support collective economic development...
Speaking at the conference, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan praised, acknowledged and deeply thanked the efforts and contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs in the past time.
Mr. Le Minh Ngan also affirmed that Lai Chau province always considers enterprises as the center of development, the service object, and the driving force for growth. Determining the success of the enterprise as the success of the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 12 individuals who have made many contributions to Lai Chau province in economic development and ensuring social security.
