Accordingly, the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Baise (China) International Trade Fair 2024 officially opened at around 8:00 p.m. on December 12, attracting the participation of more than 200 businesses with 350 booths.
This year's fair has the theme "Promoting comprehensive cooperation and sustainable development", organized by the People's Committee of Cao Bang province in coordination with the government of Baise city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Bich Ngoc emphasized: "The fair is not only a bridge for businesses of both sides to strengthen trade cooperation, but also an opportunity to promote brands and expand consumer markets. This event affirms the role of Cao Bang as an important gateway, connecting Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Chinese market."
Over the years, the cooperation between Cao Bang province and Bach Sac city has achieved many outstanding achievements in the fields of customs clearance, trade and cultural exchange. The upgrading of Long Bang - Tra Linh border gate is a clear demonstration, creating new momentum for economic development between the two localities.
At the fair, Deputy Mayor of Baise City Li Jianhua shared: “Cao Bang and Baise are not only friendly neighbors, but also have many similarities in culture, history and potential for cooperation. This fair is an important foundation for the two localities to promote cooperation in the fields of agricultural processing, household appliances and mechanical equipment.”
This is an opportunity for businesses to promote products, find partners and sign large commercial contracts.
The fair is not only a place for trade, but also demonstrates the strong development in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China. With its geographical advantage and the border gate system being invested in and upgraded, Cao Bang promises to continue to affirm its role as an economic connection center in the border area.
During the fair, delegates from both sides will hold talks to discuss defense and security cooperation and promote cultural and tourism exchanges.
