Proposal to reduce 30% tax for businesses with revenue under 10 billion VND
The Government proposes to reduce 30% of personal income tax and corporate income tax payable in 2026 and 2027 for individual businesses and enterprises with annual revenue not exceeding 10 billion VND. The policy aims to support business households, individual businesses and micro enterprises to overcome difficulties and restore production and business.
It is estimated that the policy could reduce budget revenue by about VND 3,191 billion in 2026 and VND 3,510 billion in 2027.
The government believes that the immediate reduction in revenue will create conditions for businesses and individuals to develop, thereby increasing budget revenue in the long term.
The Economic and Finance Committee agreed on the necessity of issuing the Resolution, but many opinions suggested clarifying the basis for unified application of the revenue threshold of 10 billion VND for various sectors.
The National Assembly Standing Committee has agreed to supplement the draft Resolution to the program of the First Extraordinary Session of the 16th National Assembly for consideration and approval according to simplified procedures. See more...

Nearly 39,000 businesses in Ho Chi Minh City leave the market: What is happening?
A report by Ho Chi Minh City Statistics shows that in the first 7 months of 2026, Ho Chi Minh City had 34,096 newly established businesses, an increase of 22.81% compared to the same period.

However, the number of businesses withdrawing also increased sharply, with 7,483 businesses dissolved and 31,321 businesses temporarily suspending operations; while only 12,221 businesses returned to operation, down 2.87%. The total number of businesses withdrawing from the market in 7 months is nearly 39,000.
Pressure on costs, loan interest rates, land rent, labor and operating costs are causing many small businesses to narrow down or temporarily suspend operations. In addition, businesses are also affected by energy prices, logistics, geopolitical instability, changes in trade policies, and increasingly high requirements for digital transformation, AI application and production standards.
However, experts believe that the wave of businesses withdrawing is selective, concentrated mainly in small, medium and micro groups, especially traditional models that are difficult to adapt to. See more...
Durian prices rise sharply, Dong Thap informs of initial solutions
The Sub-Department of Information and Plant Protection of Dong Thap province said that the durian area in the area has increased rapidly, from about 25,500 ha in 2023 to 32,100 ha in 2025 and currently reaches about 34,000 ha.
However, production is still small-scale, intercropping many types of trees, lacking concentrated raw material areas and uniform farming processes, affecting export quality.
One of the major bottlenecks is the situation of durian contaminated with Cadmium, besides the lack of information about actual output from packaging facilities and export enterprises. Dong Thap is coordinating with scientists and businesses to implement technical solutions, including the use of organic fertilizers, biological products and Biochar to reduce Cadmium content in soil, leaves and fruit.
In 2026, the province will continue to replicate the model of overcoming Cadmium-contaminated durian, aiming to build a safe and sustainable raw material area. See more...
