Many diamond shops in Ho Chi Minh City are still closed, continuing to miss out on customers

According to Lao Dong reporters' records, in Ho Chi Minh City, many diamond business stores that announced reopening from the beginning of August are still continuing to close. The extension of the suspension time makes many customers who need to sell products, warranty or perform scheduled transactions have to return or contact via online channels. To date, stores have not announced the time to reopen or the reason for continuing to close.

While many diamond shops have not resumed operations, the gold, silver, and gemstone market in Ho Chi Minh City has also become quiet. Stores are still open, the number of customers transacting is stable, mainly serving the needs of buying jewelry and small transactions. See more...

Landlord collects high electricity bills, reasons why students are hesitant to speak out

Many students renting rooms in Hanoi reflect that they are charged higher electricity bills than regulations by landlords but do not dare to speak out for fear of being made difficult or losing their accommodation. Some cases are not even provided with electricity bills or payment documents, causing difficulties when needing to compare or prove costs.

According to Lawyer Tran Tuan Anh - Director of Bright Legal Law Firm, tenants should first request the landlord to publicly disclose the electricity bill and explain the calculation method. If incorrect collection is detected but the landlord does not adjust, tenants can report it to the electricity unit, competent People's Committee or agency handling violations in the electricity sector for consideration.

Lawyers also recommend that tenants keep full rental contracts, payment documents, meter images and contents exchanged with homeowners. This is an important basis to protect their rights if disputes occur or functional agencies conduct verification. See more...

Business is difficult, many kiosks in Ha Tinh market close

Business activities at Binh Huong market and Ha Tinh market (Ha Tinh province) are falling into a state of sluggishness. Many kiosks have to close, hang signs of transfer or sublease, but it is difficult to find someone to take over. Many small traders said that income has decreased sharply, while some have switched to other jobs such as shippers, real estate brokers or going to work abroad.

Small traders believe that business is increasingly difficult due to reduced purchasing power, fierce competition from online sales and fashion stores. Many households still cling to it thanks to additional income from agricultural production or no longer choosing other careers.

According to the Binh Huong Market Management Board, the market has 250 kiosks, but so far only more than half have been put into use. Many kiosk buyers or renters have to close because business is not effective. The main reason is that the supply of premises is greater than demand, causing business operations to face many difficulties. See more...
