Ministry of Industry and Trade states reasons why rooftop solar power installation must be notified 10 days in advance
The Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that the regulation of notifying at least 10 working days in advance for self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power systems connected to the national grid is appropriate.
This time is necessary for the electricity unit to assess the risk of overload, ensuring the ability to connect, operate safely and regulate the power system.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the procedures and components of the dossier for notifying power source development in Decree 58/2025/ND-CP have been simplified to the maximum to create convenience for organizations and individuals. The requirement to notify 10 days in advance is not intended to create additional barriers but to serve management and ensure the safety of the power grid.
Regarding concerns about unfair competition, customer information leakage or supplier changes, the Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that these are risks in civil and commercial relations, not within the scope of regulation of electricity law.

Gold prices head for the best month of increase from January 2026
