To increase electricity prices by 2 - 5%, EVN must ask for opinions from the Ministry of Industry and Trade
Decree amending and supplementing Decree 72/2025/ND-CP stipulates the mechanism for adjusting the average retail electricity price. Accordingly, if the calculated electricity price decreases by less than 1% or increases by less than 2% compared to the current level, EVN does not adjust the price but must report and send the dossier to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for inspection and supervision.
In case electricity prices need to be reduced by 1% or more or increased from 2% to less than 5%, EVN must prepare a price plan and send it to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for appraisal. Within 15 working days from the time of receiving complete dossiers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade must have written opinions, after which EVN can decide to adjust prices.
After implementing the electricity price adjustment, EVN is responsible for reporting to the Ministry of Industry and Trade within 5 working days for this agency to continue to inspect and supervise the implementation according to regulations. See more...
