In the first 6 months of 2025, Phu Tho province will organize the implementation of strategic resolutions of the Party Central Committee, resolutions of the National Assembly, and the Government on implementing socio-economic development goals and tasks, disbursing public investment capital, and improving the investment and business environment.
Notably, according to statistics, the economic growth rate (GRDP) reached 9.2% (6-month scenario from 7.2% or more, target for the whole year of 8% or more). Total development investment capital in the area is estimated at VND 25,172 billion (reaching 42.3% of the target).
Total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at VND 7,596.3 billion, reaching 97.5% of the estimate, nearly equal to the total revenue for the whole year of 2024 (more than VND 8,700 billion), nearly double in the first 6 months of 2024 (more than VND 4,200 billion).
Agricultural, forestry and fishery production in basically favorable weather conditions; productivity of major crops remains stable and increases over the same period. Industrial production maintained its growth momentum, with an estimated growth of 15.2% (same period increased by 14.6%, first quarter increased by 14.7%); the industrial production index (IIP) is estimated to increase by 46.7% over the same period (6 months of 2024 increased by 33.8%); of which the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 48.1%. Trade and service activities have a fairly good growth rate, estimated at 7.2% (same period increased by 5.7%). Import-export turnover reached 16,970 million USD, up 19% over the same period.
The breakthrough in improving the investment and business environment continues to be actively implemented. Focus on implementing breakthrough tasks for private economic development according to Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo; attracting 7 new domestic projects and 11 foreign direct investment projects. It is estimated that in the first 6 months of the year, 750 new enterprises were established, 250 enterprises returned to operation.
The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranked 8th out of 63 localities, up 2 places compared to 2023, the second consecutive year in the top 10 localities with the best management quality in the country; PAR INDEX Index ranked 11th out of 63 localities; Administrative Service satisfaction Measurement Index (SIPAS) ranked 18th out of 63 localities; Public Administration and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) ranked 18th out of 63 localities.
