Contributing each piece of land to development
At noon, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Hai (born in 1974, Quang Khai village, Phu Thai commune, Hai Phong) left the farm to prepare a home meal after a whole morning of cutting grass, raising ducks, and releasing fish.
Ms. Hai shared that in 2004, with a small amount of capital, Ms. Hai and her husband bought every piece of land from the people to dig ponds to release fish and raise poultry. While working, accumulating, combining equity capital and loans from social policy banks, the farm is gradually expanding its area, combining poultry farming, releasing fish, growing fruit trees and perennial trees.
In the early days, Ms. Hai and her husband started a business with catfish, harvesting up to 20 tons each time but the output was slow. From then on, the couple gradually switched to raising fish. "At first, the amount of money my family borrowed from the social policy bank was 30-40 million VND and gradually increased the current loan amount to 100 million VND" - Ms. Hai said.
At the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected product output, Ms. Hai researched again, boldly borrowed capital to invest in machinery, developed in a new direction and initially brought in income. In addition to grass carp, she also raised more than 1,000 ducks to sell for meat. The ducks kneaded, one group sold another. Her farm is mainly for wholesale. When there is a generation, traders come to buy, and it's all in one day, just afraid that supply is not enough to meet demand.
