The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B through Lam Dong province has a total length of about 68km. The total investment of the project is 1,435 billion VND.
On October 25, news from the Ministry of Construction said that the Ministry had sent a document to the Vietnam Road Administration approving the adjustment of the construction progress of the National Highway 28B renovation and upgrade project through Lam Dong province.
Accordingly, the project's construction progress was adjusted to complete the project in March 2026 and complete the procedures to complete the project in 2026.

The Ministry of Construction requires investors to review capital plans, strictly manage costs, ensure that they do not exceed the total investment and "not generate funds when extending the implementation period".
At the same time, clearly identify objective and subjective causes, strictly handle contractors who are behind schedule (if any).
The investor closely coordinates with the locality to soon complete the site clearance work and disburse the site clearance capital in accordance with regulations.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B aims to be completed before December 31, 2025. However, due to some problems in site clearance, the construction progress has not met the plan.
On October 22, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province - led a working group to inspect the progress of site clearance and construction of this project.
At the inspection, Mr. Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the project implementation was too slow. If the coming time is still slow and does not meet the set schedule, he will sign a document requesting to replace the investor.

The Department of Construction said that up to now, the project's site clearance work has not yet been handed over for construction.
Mainly concentrated in Luong Son commune with 90 households. Regarding the construction progress, 44/62km of crushed stone and 37/62km of asphalt concrete have been provided.
National Highway 28B is the shortest route connecting Phan Thiet to the provincial administrative center, with a large volume of traffic.
Accelerating the progress is even more urgent as Lien Khuong Airport is preparing to temporarily suspend operations for upgrading, making this route an important traffic axis for travel and transportation.
