On the afternoon of October 27, on National Highway 28B, km45+300 (Dai Ninh Pass) in Phan Son Commune, Lam Dong Province, a landslide occurred from the hillside down to the road.
A large amount of soil, rocks and grass fell down, covering the road surface, stretching for tens of meters.

Cars and motorbikes could not pass through the landslide site and had to queue up. Pedestrians have to climb on landslides to get back and forth. Some vehicles hearing the landslide information turned around and headed in another direction.

After the incident, the construction unit of the National Highway 28B renovation project mobilized excavators and human resources to the scene to clear the rocks and soil. Local people have also joined hands to clear the rocks and soil.

As of 5:00 p.m. the same day, the handling of the landslide is still continuing. However, when scraping, the rocks and soil on the hill continued to slide and poured onto the road.

According to local people, from noon of the same day, this area had heavy rain lasting until the landslide occurred and there is still rain. Dai Ninh Pass is a winding road, with high slopes, and has experienced landslides every time it rains heavily.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B through Lam Dong province is 68km long. Currently, the contract value is about 55%.
The project completion time has just been adjusted to March 2026. On the route, many locations are densely populated with potholes and bad roads. In particular, fog often limits visibility in the evening.
