More than 7 tons of animal organs of unknown origin discovered in Hanoi

Hanoi - During an inspection of a cold storage facility in Thanh Tri district, the authorities discovered more than 7 tons of animal organs of unknown origin.

On the evening of May 5, information from the Hanoi Market Management Department said that the unit had just discovered and seized a large number of animal organs of unknown origin.

Accordingly, on May 5, Market Management Team No. 17 - Hanoi Market Management Department coordinated with Team 7, Economic Police Department - Hanoi City Police to conduct a search of the frozen warehouse of D.T.S.G Company, located at No. 1, Km 12, Ngoc Hoi Street (Thanh Tri District, Hanoi).

During the examination, the working group discovered and temporarily detained 7,010kg of animal organs (including: young eggs, chicken intestines, pig's breasts). At the time of inspection, the owner of the above goods, Mr. L.H.P, could not provide invoices or documents, and had no basis to prove the origin of the goods.

The total value of the goods according to the listed price at the facility is 663,300,000 VND.

Market Management Team No. 17 continues to coordinate with Team 7, Hanoi Economic Police Department to complete the dossier and transfer the case to the competent authorities according to the provisions of law.
