Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Pham Hoang Son said that Korea is currently the leading partner of Bac Ninh province in attracting FDI capital.
The total number of investment projects from Korean partners is 1,141 projects with a total registered investment capital after adjustment reaching over 15.7 billion USD, leading in total FDI attracted out of a total of 42 countries and territories with investment projects in the province.
Of which, Samsung Companies in Bac Ninh contribute about 70% of Korea's total FDI capital to invest in the province.
Samsung Group in Bac Ninh has 3 companies with a total registered investment capital of 10.96 billion USD, of which Samsung Display has an investment capital of 8.3 billion USD.
Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd. has received a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for its contribution to the provincial budget for many consecutive years; at the same time, actively participated in local social security activities such as: Overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, supporting poor students, households in difficult circumstances...
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Samsung, especially Samsung Display Vietnam, will continue to accompany the province in socio-economic development activities, especially supporting Vietnamese enterprises inside and outside industrial parks in the province to participate in Samsung's production and supply chain for sustainable development.
Continue to expand investment in new products, especially high-tech products.
Mr. Pham Hoang Son emphasized that Bac Ninh province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions, promptly resolving difficulties and problems all days of the week so that FDI enterprises in general and the Company can operate stably and develop long-term in the province.
Mr. Kang Euisik, Deputy General Director of Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd., congratulated Mr. Pham Hoang Son on being assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and thanked the attention, support and support of the provincial leaders, departments, branches, and localities for helping the Company to produce smoothly and stably, especially during the recent storm.
