HCMC - At the end of the year, HCMC focuses on implementing a series of solutions to stimulate consumption, especially targeting the group of workers and laborers.

In the last months of the year, the Ho Chi Minh City market entered the most vibrant shopping period. In order to promote domestic consumption and support workers in the context of high pressure on living costs, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City is implementing a series of large-scale stimulus and promotion programs.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City said that along with promotional and stimulating programs regularly maintained at supermarket and retail systems, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the unit will prioritize focusing on domestic consumption stimulation solutions associated with caring for workers' lives.

Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with departments, branches, sectors and enterprises to implement mobile sales programs right in industrial parks, export processing zones, accommodation areas and enterprises with a large number of workers. These activities are accompanied by many prestigious brands, large distribution systems and strong credit institutions, to provide essential goods at preferential prices, high discounts and support consumer credit.

A representative of the Department of Industry and Trade assessed that the mobile sales program not only helps stimulate consumption, support workers - laborers to reduce living expenses, but also contributes to stabilizing prices, limiting market fluctuations during peak shopping times. This is one of the activities demonstrating the role of market regulation and social security of Ho Chi Minh City, while helping to improve the effectiveness of the Shopping Season focused promotion program towards more comprehensiveness, sustainability and spread.

At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City also promotes the "Responsible Green Pick" Program, strengthens market inspection and control, prevents counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods, helping people feel secure when shopping for quality goods.

In particular, in the second phase of the Shopping Season Program taking place from November 15 to December 31, Ho Chi Minh City allowed businesses to apply many explosive promotional programs, with deeper discounts than normal regulations, to create strong consumer motivation, stimulate purchasing power and contribute to the completion of economic and trade growth targets at the end of the year.
