The inspection team of Market Management Team No. 9 coordinated with the representative of Long Truong Ward People's Committee to conduct a surprise inspection of a storage and trading point for goods.
Through initial inspection, the inspection team discovered and seized a total of more than 1,000 units of food products of all kinds without invoices and documents, without documents declaring product quality, unknown origin, origin and smuggled goods with a total value of more than 30 million VND. The inspection team drew up a record and temporarily detained all violating goods for handling according to the law.
The problem of smuggled goods and goods of unknown origin is complicated, especially in the food industry. The popularity of these products makes consumers lose confidence, find it difficult to distinguish between real and fake, product quality, cause a fear of shopping, affecting the revenue of genuine businesses.
Goods of unknown origin are often produced and consumed in small quantities, without a fixed address, making it difficult to inspect, monitor and handle violations. This is a serious problem, affecting the health of consumers, the business environment and state management.
Handmade traceability is no longer effective, it is necessary to step up propaganda to raise public awareness, helping people know how to identify and use genuine products. At the same time, build a centralized food traceability system to make it easier for consumers to look up and authenticate information, contributing to market transparency, promoting digital transformation in food industry enterprises and enhancing the reputation of Vietnamese goods.
