At the ceremony, on behalf of the President and the leaders of the Party and State, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, presented the title to Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam congratulated and highly appreciated the determination, creativity and efforts of Viettel Construction in particular, Viettel Group in general in being the owner and pioneer in the field of telecommunications infrastructure, bringing the country's telecommunications industry to the world.
Speaking at the Ceremony to receive the title of Labor Hero, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam suggested that the Corporation focus on a number of major tasks to successfully complete the assigned tasks in the coming time.
First, continue to carry out the tasks assigned by the Politburo, contributing to the implementation of the major goals of Resolution 8 of the Central Committee on "Promoting the development of the defense industry until 2030 and the following years"; Resolution No. 57 on "Breakthrough in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation".
Second, maintain the position of the No. 1 unit in construction, operation and investment in telecommunications network infrastructure in Vietnam. Participating in national key projects on high technology and digital transformation to contribute to socio-economic development. Promoting production and business activities, the remaining areas of the Corporation will rise to the leading position. Research and application to provide green, clean, environmentally friendly products.
Third, develop modern technology, promote innovation and synchronous digital transformation in all areas of operation of the Corporation. Promote the combined strength to create a difference with businesses in the same industry. Improve labor productivity, product and service quality and efficiency, attract high-quality labor, towards sustainable development.
Fourth, maintain solidarity and close attachment to Party committees, authorities, organizations... Effectively carry out policy work, mass mobilization, for the community, for the people. Actively participate in social security activities, contributing to introducing and promoting the image and people of Viettel.
Fifth, we must continue to attach importance to and focus on building and developing a clean and strong Party organization, associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and the Campaign "Promoting tradition, contributing talent, worthy of the honor of Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era.
Also at the ceremony, Colonel Do Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation, pledged: "Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation will promote the tradition of a heroic labor unit, ready to receive and excellently complete all tasks assigned by the State, the Army and the Group, and join the country in the era of national growth".
Up to now, Viettel Group and its member units have been awarded the title of Labor Hero 4 times.
Established in 1995, Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Construction), a member unit of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel), operates in the fields of construction, installation and operation of telecommunications networks, infrastructure investment, civil construction... while performing assigned tasks of ensuring National Defense and Security. After 3 decades of operation, the unit has achieved many achievements in labor production.
Holding the No. 1 position in Vietnam in the construction and operation of the domestic Telecommunications infrastructure network with nearly 60,000 broadcasting stations, 320,000 km of fiber optic cables equivalent to 8 Earth rings, covering 100% of Vietnam, 11 million fixed gates of broadband, with coverage of 100% of provinces across the country.
Pioneering the construction and operation of telecommunications infrastructure at borders, islands and remote areas, and border areas of the Fatherland: Building and installing 278 island and sea broadcasting stations, including 9 stations at displays and 12 stations in Truong Sa island district, 1,400 broadcasting stations along the coast and offshore, 830 border broadcasting stations. Helping nearly 10 million ethnic minorities access social information, policies of the Party and State, creating conditions for socio-economic development; maintaining communication for more than 3 million fishermen at sea in Vietnam, with about 70,000 people being fishermen fishing far from shore, thousands of Border Guard soldiers, Navy and Coast Guard.
Build Viettel's telecommunications infrastructure in 10 countries, contribute to promoting the image of the people's country of Vietnam, implement the Party's international integration guidelines and protect the Fatherland early and from afar.
By the end of 2024, the capitalization value of CTR shares reached VND14,812 billion, the foreign ownership ratio was 10% and the state ownership ratio was 66%.
