Established on October 30, 1995 Viettel Construction Corporation (VCC) is an independent accounting unit, an indispensable part of the ecosystem of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group. The main occupations include: Telecommunication infrastructure installation, Telecommunication network operation, B2C and B2B civil construction, Infrastructure investment, Smart solutions for corporate and household customers both domestically and in foreign markets. Perform the task of operating the second military information network, call back the current military information network, and be ready to carry out the assigned tasks of ensuring national defense and security. After nearly 30 years, promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" generations of VCC staff and employees are always united, self-reliant, self-reliant, ready to take on difficult tasks, new tasks, go to the most arduous places, work with a sense of responsibility, high determination and aspiration to build a strong Vietnam.
Currently, VCC is the No. 1 unit in Vietnam in building and operating the domestic telecommunications infrastructure network, with the construction of nearly 120,000km of fiber optic cables, with 100% of mainland communes being photosensed; construction of nearly 60,000 broadcasting stations, with a coverage of 98% of the population; construction of 11 million fixed gates of broadband, capable of providing services to 80% of households; it is expected that by the end of 2024, VCC will own 10,000 broadcasting stations and solar energy projects, underground routes...
Since 2017, VCC has been the only unit to operate, maintain, repair and upgrade infrastructure to help nearly 10 million ethnic minorities access social information and policies of the Party and State; bringing communication opportunities to more than 3 million fishermen at sea in Vietnam, especially about 70,000 fishermen who fish far from the shore, thousands of Border Guard soldiers, Navy and Coast Guard. Contributing to affirming and protecting the sovereignty of the country's borders, connecting more closely between the mainland and islands, and consolidating the potential of national defense and security.
In addition, VCC is the only pioneer in building Viettel infrastructure in 10 foreign markets; TCT has constructed nearly 73,000 broadcasting stations, nearly 176,000 km of fiber optic cables, nearly 15,000 FTTH lines in Cambodia, Laos, Haiti, Mozambique, East Timor, Peru, Cameroon, Tanzania, Burundi, Myanmar.
VCC has always actively and proactively sought new careers, expanded business space, and created jobs for nearly 20,000 workers by the end of 2023, including nearly 11,000 workers in the payroll, building a sustainable VCC.
With the achievements it has achieved, over the past 30 years, VCC has been honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal in 2010; has been awarded for 10 consecutive years, including the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal (2020) and many awards from ministries, departments, and central and local branches.
