In the world, many major markets such as the US, Europe, Japan... have strongly shifted to eSIM. In particular, leading smartphone manufacturers such as Apple have begun to eliminate physical SIM cards in many markets, affirming the inevitable trend: no-slip, unlimited connection.

According to a report from GSMA (World Mobile Information System Association), by 2030, the Asia Pacific region is expected to have about 78% of mobile users switching to using eSIM. This shows that eSIM is gradually becoming a new trend in the mobile telecommunications industry, attracting a large number of customers to switch.

In Vietnam, Viettel is one of the first network operators to deploy eSIM early, aiming for a completely digital connected future. In the future, eSIM is not only a utility, but a fundamental technological advancement that helps digitize the entire customer experience journey - from activation, management to connection security.

Physical SIM cards are often curved, broken, scratched or loose, causing communication disruption, especially when users are making transactions, working remotely or authenticating security.
In contrast, eSIM is integrated directly into the phone's circuit board, helping to maintain stable and absolutely safe connectivity.Even when the device is stolen, eSIM can still be locked or remotely identified, protecting the user's personal data.In addition, the use of eSIM also contributes to reducing plastic waste and protecting the environment.
