On January 2, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak said that in 2025, the province's industry will still maintain a stable growth momentum, despite being heavily affected by storm No. 13 and the historic flood in mid-November.
Thanks to the proactive response of businesses, the overall production picture still recorded many bright spots, especially in the context of the eastern region suffering great damage.
Notably, processed coffee production increased sharply thanks to high prices and increased demand for Robusta coffee. It is estimated that for the whole year 2025, output will reach 53,000 tons, equal to 151.4% of the plan, an increase of 28.7% compared to the same period. Export cashew kernel output will reach 49,500 tons, exceeding 244.4% of the plan.
The sugarcane and cassava starch industry, although affected by floods in the East Dak Lak area, thanks to maintaining stable production from the beginning of the year, sugar production still reached 100% of the plan, equivalent to 265,000 tons; cassava production reached 240,000 tons, equal to 98% of the plan, an increase of 4.3% compared to the same period.
The electricity industry grew by 13.68% thanks to wind power, solar power and abundant hydropower water sources; commercial electricity was still supplied safely and continuously during natural disasters.
The Department of Industry and Trade also said that, besides industries that continue to grow (steel increased by 8.9%, beer increased by 4.2%), some sectors still face difficulties due to market and natural disaster impacts.
Pymepharco Company was heavily damaged, drug production activities were interrupted; estimated output in 2025 reached 1,798.8 million tablets, equal to 78.2% of the plan.
The enterprise is currently overcoming damage and has not determined when it will resume operations. Accumulated for the whole year, seafood output reached about 15,000 tons, equal to 74.6% of the plan.
Currently, small and medium-sized enterprises are focusing efforts on restoring production lines, making efforts to compensate for damage after storms and floods to complete the 2025 target.
