Connecting the source between heritage, present and future

The Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025 takes place over two weeks (from November 1 to 16, 2025), not just an event but a journey to bring cultural memories together in heritage spaces in the heart of the modern city.

With the theme "Heritage - Connection - Times", the event was cleverly organized for the first time, placing traditional craft villages at the center, connecting the quintessence of the three ancient capitals: Thang Long (Hanoi), Hue and Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh).

At the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam relic site, the space named "Heritage convergence" opens with the display of traditional craft villages of the three capitals, from pottery, rattan and bamboo, to brocade... The long stalls, with soothing lights under the ancient tiled roof, are the places where artisans and attendees exchange like in a "living museum" where the public can touch, listen, and fully feel each talented line of the craftsman's hand.

In an era where many craft villages are facing challenges for sustainable development, bringing them to a big event like this is a positive signal: The profession is recognized, the culture is honored, and the connection between the past - present - future is expanded.

Not only stopping at static exhibition, the Festival also opens up experiential activities for visitors such as in the Van Lake area, visitors can make their own collagen and print images, make cards on Do paper, or try to recycle environmentally friendly materials, gently but deeply to connect the emotions between traditional crafts and contemporary creativity.

The festival also has many outstanding activities including: Music performances by traditional and modern music groups, educational exhibitions of "Heritage and Future", introductions of Hanoi culinary culture, exhibition of paintings "Renovative Hanoi" and artistic activities such as: "Hanoi O", the performance night of "Ao Dai on the Heritage Road", art performances of Cheo Theater, Thang Long puppetry Theater, Cai Luong Theater, Dao Thuc water puppetry ward, international workshop on "A decade of protecting and promoting rituals and games of Coagulation"... to remind that heritage is not for framing, but for living, developing and interacting.

The Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025 with the focus on traditional craft villages and the space of ancient capitals, along with a series of activities spanning many fields, has connected the source between heritage, present and future, so that visitors can feel that in the midst of the urgent urban life, there is always a presence, spreading unique heritage values, carrying the soul of Vietnamese culture.
