As one of the organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has constantly innovated in political and ideological education. Political and ideological work has always been identified by the Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor as the top and continuous task, creating a solid foundation for leadership to successfully carry out political tasks. The affiliated Party Committees have thoroughly grasped and seriously studied the Resolutions and Directives of the Central Committee, especially the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW on building and rectifying the Party and the political system, resolutions of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and Central organizations.
Political and ideological education work has been flexibly implemented, innovating both in content and methods, closely linked to the practical activities of the Trade Union system. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is carried out seriously and methodically. Every year, cadres and party members seriously develop plans to cultivate and practice personal ethics; Party cells determine ethical standards suitable to the specific characteristics of work, contributing to building a model, united, disciplined and responsible working environment.
The effectiveness of political and ideological education work is clearly demonstrated through the propaganda and education campaign on the Party Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2025 - 2030 term. The Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor and the Subcommittee for Service and Propaganda of the Congress met, assigned specific tasks and directed affiliated party organizations to proactively and actively promote propaganda work in many rich and effective forms.
The propaganda contents focus on clarifying the significance and importance of the General Confederation of Labor Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; reflecting the thoughts, aspirations, beliefs and responsibilities of cadres, party members, union members and workers towards the Party; launching a response to the 5th political contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025; commending typical examples through the patriotic emulation movement and advanced examples to achieve achievements to celebrate the Congress.
The affiliated Party organizations have synchronously deployed propaganda activities on the press and communication systems of the Trade Union organization such as Lao Dong Newspaper, Lao Dong and Trade Union Magazine, Vietnam Trade Union Electronic Information Portal, social networks, internal newsletters of affiliated departments and units... With the above activities, the propaganda about the Party Congress of the General Confederation has truly become an extensive, serious and methodical political activity. Thereby creating unity in awareness, ideology and action among each Party member in the entire Party Committee, especially when implementing the Resolution into life.
Strengthening political education for each party member
One of the current requirements is to improve the quality of Party cell and Party cell activities. To achieve this requirement, it is necessary to strengthen political education for each party member.
At the 1st Central Party Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union, term 2025 - 2030, representatives of the Women's Work Committee shared their experiences in implementing and educating political and ideological work. Notably, political and ideological education is a regular job through Party cell activities. Thereby promptly disseminating new policies and guidelines of the Party and State, discussing in depth policies and regulations directly related to Party building work and professional tasks of departments and Party committees. This is an important basis to contribute to raising awareness and unifying understanding, creating high consensus and unity in organizing implementation and implementation; providing official information to orient public opinion among cadres and party members, especially at times when important political events of the Party and the country take place.
In particular, in the context of implementing the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus to be more efficient and efficient with new requirements, it is inevitable that there will be worries and concerns about Party cadres and members in the Party cell, but through Party cell activities, it has been timely, public and transparent in directing, thoroughly grasping the policies, viewpoints, orientations, and political determination of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Party Executive Committee, so that cadres and Party members in the Party cell can maintain their political will, unity, high consensus, and prepare a ready mind to adapt to new requirements and tasks.
In reality, along with improving the quality of Party cell activities, many places have innovated in organizing political education and traditional education activities through organizing thematic activities. Accordingly, many thematic activities are organized on occasions such as the Party's founding day and National Day with activities on the source and reviewing history in many forms; or as recently, many Party cells have organized for Party members to watch the film "Red Rain". These thematic activities leave many truly impressive emotions among cadres and party members.
Improve the quality of Party cell activities in the spirit of Directive No. 50-CT/TW dated July 23, 2025 of the Secretariat on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of Party cell activities implemented by branches and Party Committees in the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This is concretized through the content and forms of political and ideological education, training of ethics and lifestyle for cadres and party members.
