U70 digital transformation leader

Huy Hùng - An Tú |

On the familiar streets of Hanoi, there are still "digital guides" in their 70s and 80s quietly walking through every alley, knocking on every door, digital transformation, connecting people with the digital world. It is from those persistent steps and very ordinary actions that citizen happiness is being nurtured every day.

Elderly leader

Amidst the peaceful streets of Tay Ho ward, when many people in their twilight years are comfortable with gardens and children, there are also elderly women in their 70s and 80s who are still diligently using smartphones, "taking people's hands" to the digital world. They are people belonging to the Digital Transformation Team, people who are silent but full of prestige and love for the community.

The image of Ms. Nguyen Thi Quang (Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Digital Transformation Group of Residential Group 11, Tay Ho ward) always present in the alleys of Residential Group 11 is no longer unfamiliar to the people here. The smartphone is always with her - sometimes opening the Zalo group of the group, sometimes checking people's feedback, sometimes patiently guiding an old woman to update information. Asked if she was tired, she just smiled: "People trust us, even if something is lost, it becomes fun.

Ms. Quang admitted that at her age, she cannot be as good as young people. But she is not discouraged. She said, technology "is not easy to learn, and not too difficult to learn". The important thing is to pay attention, be dedicated and responsible. The ward organizes training, youth union members directly support, Ms. Quang goes home and continues to learn each operation by herself, patiently.

To become a person trusted and loved by the people as they are now, Ms. Quang and the Digital Transformation Team have gone through many difficulties. For the elderly, accessing technology is not easy. Some elderly people today don't remember, the next day she comes to their homes to guide them. Some people initially are conservative: "Oh, I'm old now, what's my fate with Mom?", she gently analyzes: "If you know how to use it, it's convenient for you. If the allowance is late, open it and you know immediately, you don't have to ask, it's less troublesome".

In the early days, many people resolutely refused to install the eTax-Mobile application to pay taxes, maintaining the habit of bringing cash to the office. But gradually, when they understood the benefits, they excitedly boasted to her:

Luckily, I can install it now, paying taxes easily. Very convenient, Mrs. Quang!".

Every time I go out, looking at the cheerful eyes and greeting smiles of the elderly, seeing the young children excited: "What are you going to propagate?" - Ms. Quang clearly feels: All efforts are not meaningless. "When people are excited, I am also happy. Helping them access technology, making life more convenient, seeing them trust and love - that is my greatest joy," she shared.

For Ms. Quang, digital transformation is not just a task, but a bridge between people and modern society. In a short time, from people who were still unfamiliar with technology, they have now become accustomed to using applications, proactively grasping information, and protecting their own rights. The happiness of the people has become a strong source of inspiration, adding energy for her to continue to accompany them.

Age is not a barrier for Ms. Quang, but a testament to patience, prestige and love for the community. People trust, support and joyfully respond - that is the most precious reward, great pride in her journey of dedication. And also a vivid proof: "Happiness is sometimes seeing others happy thanks to their contributions.

Bringing technology to every alley

Also in the Digital Transformation Group of Residential Group 11, Tay Ho Ward, Ms. Dang Thi Thanh (Deputy Head of Residential Group, Head of Women's Union) has turned 78 this year, but is still enthusiastically participating in all campaigns such as: Guiding people to install iHanoi, eTax - Mobile, 90-day campaign to clean up land data, to the general review plan to clean up vehicle registration data and driver's licenses.

After only a few days of mobilization, the number of households completing procedures in many campaigns reached a very high rate. To achieve that result, the Digital Transformation Team worked day and night.

On the first days of the week, with heavy rain and strong winds, the women are still present from 5 pm, gathering at their desks until 10 pm, persistently entering data, guiding each person. On days when the rain is less, the women start from 3 pm until 10 pm, successively approaching each surviving family, chatting, encouraging, and guiding them wholeheartedly.

She smiled gently: "I have worked for the Fatherland Front for 25 years, wherever I go, people like me. Knocking on anyone's door, they always ask:

Who is it? I replied: Thanh here, there is a need for support? So they are ready to help.

On the streets covered in flags of Tay Ho ward, there are still footsteps silently creating happiness for each citizen. In the house of Mrs. Bui Thi Chien - a resident of the Residential Group, Mrs. Quang, Mrs. Thanh and the Digital Transformation Group are still diligently guiding and explaining the benefits that digital transformation brings.

Thanks to digital transformation, paying land tax or Party membership fees has become easy for me, just needing to operate on the phone. No longer the scene of queuing, carrying cash or running back and forth. During times of supporting flood victims, money is transferred directly to the City Fatherland Front's account, quickly and transparently. Birth certificates, marriage registration certificates or household registration books - previously taking a whole day, now just sitting at home, a few operations on the phone are done. Everything is convenient, quick, reducing effort and costs for people.

The digital transformation team not only "brings technology to homes", but also brings patience and dedication. Experienced officials and young people guide each operation, enthusiastically answering all questions. Thanks to that, the government is closer to the people than ever before - Ms. Chien said.

More than ever, administration serving the people is being placed at the center, as a measure of citizen happiness. A convenient, transparent and humane administrative experience not only helps work "flow" faster, but also sows in life feelings of relief, trust and peace of mind.

Each dossier is processed quickly; each piece of information is easily accessed; every feedback from people is listened to and transformed into action - all are contributing to creating very ordinary happy moments, where people become active subjects, accompanying the government to build digital government, digital society and civilized and confident digital citizens.
