On April 3, in An Giang, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) organized a training course on "Dialogues to promote gender equality and protect the rights of female workers at the workplace".
Participating in the training course were Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Thu Phuong, Vice President of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Lu Thi Kim Thuy and over 100 union officials and officials working in women's union at all levels.
At the training course, each content was presented by the reporter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, sharing practical experiences at enterprises with students such as: Regulations on procedures and dialogue processes at the workplace; skills and experience in dialogue applied in practice; collective labor negotiation; regimes and policies for female workers stipulated in the Labor Code, Law on Social Insurance; Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level and related legal documents...

The Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union must understand the way of management and use of people by employers and must restructure Trade Union staff in departments to grasp information from workers, listen to workers' opinions, and thereby make legitimate proposals.
The training course aims to help union officials improve the effectiveness of union activities, participate in building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, always aiming to improve the lives and care for the welfare of union members and workers better and better.
