Since the beginning of 2024, Lang Giang District Labor Federation has promoted propaganda work through various forms. Accordingly, the District Labor Federation has issued propaganda documents; organized legal consultation and propaganda conferences; distributed leaflets and brochures; coordinated with the district radio station to develop a propaganda column on new points in the 2019 Labor Code; the importance of signing collective labor agreements in enterprises.
At the same time, the District Labor Federation has issued documents guiding the grassroots unions of the enterprise sector to organize negotiations and sign collective labor agreements; provide and exchange information related to collective bargaining, signing and implementation of collective labor agreements for grassroots unions.
Up to now, 61/61 enterprises with active Trade Union organizations have signed the Collective Labor Agreement and sent it to the District Labor Federation (of which 43 units re-signed, reaching 100% of the plan; 7 units signed for the first time, reaching 233.3% of the plan assigned by the province, 11 valid agreements continue to be maintained).
The content of the agreements focuses on provisions that are more beneficial to workers than those stipulated by law: Bonuses for diligence and productivity on a quarterly and monthly basis; meal allowance support of 20,000 - 35,000 VND/meal; fuel support of 300,000 - 500,000 VND/month; housing support for workers living far away from home of 300,000 - 500,000 VND/month; support for funerals and weddings of 500,000 - 1,000,000 VND/time; pregnant female workers are supported with an additional 100,000 - 200,000 VND/visit; gifts for children on June 1, Mid-Autumn Festival or with excellent academic achievements...
Speaking to reporters on October 15, Mr. Ha Van Kha - Chairman of the Lang Giang District Labor Federation - affirmed that in implementing welfare programs for workers, the grassroots trade union and the grassroots trade union play a very important role - as a bridge, a proposer - to organize negotiation conferences and reach agreements with business owners. Accordingly, the superior trade union regularly exchanges with business leaders, from which business leaders agree on the proposals made.
In many enterprise trade unions, in addition to proposing welfare regimes, activities, and shift meals, enterprise leaders also support organizing birthday parties for union members and workers. These activities have contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
The Chairman of Lang Giang District Labor Federation said that in order to further improve the quality of the Collective Labor Agreement, in the coming time, the District Labor Federation will continue to promote propaganda work, instruct union officials on dialogue skills, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers to sign more favorable terms for workers than those prescribed by law; continue to compile statistics, review, and make a list of units that have not yet established a Trade Union organization to develop plans, support negotiations, and sign Collective Labor Agreements.
