Attending and directing the congress were comrade Thach Van Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation.
On the local side, there were comrade Nguyen Hoang Long - Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, along with leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, leaders of professional departments of the Provincial Labor Federation, and 69 delegates representing 1,286 union members in the area.
With the motto "Solidarity - democracy - discipline - innovation - development", the congress evaluated the results of trade union activities since the Vu Ninh Ward Trade Union was established on June 25, 2025.
Despite the short operation period, the Ward Trade Union quickly stabilized the organization, management and direction of 22 grassroots trade unions.
The political report at the congress highlighted the impressive results in representing and caring for union members and workers: 100% of grassroots unions were guided to coordinate the organization of labor conferences and dialogues at the workplace; over 90% of enterprises with trade unions have organized labor conferences; over 85% of enterprises with trade unions have conducted negotiations, amended, supplemented, and signed collective labor agreements with improved quality, with many provisions more beneficial to workers than those prescribed by law.
The ward union has directed grassroots unions to organize a union meal program on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and National Day on September 2, with a total value of VND 24,336,000. The average income of workers in the area is about 8,750,000 VND/person/month.
Speaking at the congress, Comrade Thach Van Chung - Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, expressed his agreement and high consensus with the political report and was pleased with the results that the Vu Ninh Ward Labor Union has achieved in the past time.
He emphasized that the 2025-2030 term is the first term, posing challenges but also opening up opportunities for the Vu Ninh Ward Trade Union to develop worthy of being the one to care for, represent, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
With the responsibility of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Comrade Thach Van Chung suggested and directed a number of key tasks: Well performing the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; strengthening the support and guidance role of the Ward Union for grassroots unions in grasping the situation and effectively resolving union members' concerns.
Focus on implementing digital transformation in trade union activities, ensuring streamlining, efficiency and practicality; proactively advising Party committees and coordinating with authorities in implementing the Trade Union Law and the Labor Code, becoming a solid bridge between the Party, the government and workers.
The 1st Vu Ninh Ward Trade Union Congress approved the theme of the Congress: "Innovating the content and methods of operation, performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; building a team of workers and a strong ward trade union organization to contribute to building a civilized, modern, and sustainable Vu Ninh ward".
The Congress has completed the contents according to the program, launched the new Executive Committee and approved the Congress Resolution with 100% of delegates unanimously voting.
Accordingly, the Executive Committee consists of 9 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Thuy Linh - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Vu Ninh Ward holds the position of Chairman of the Vu Ninh Ward Trade Union; The Inspection Committee consists of 3 comrades.
The success of the 1st Vu Ninh Ward Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, demonstrates the trust and consensus of all union members, is a solid foundation for the new Executive Committee to promote the tradition of solidarity, pioneering, building the Ward Trade Union to truly be a "common house" to gather and connect grassroots trade unions, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development of the locality.
