This is an important political event marking a new step in the development of the workers' movement and trade union organizations in Vo Cuong ward after the merger and consolidation.
Attending and directing the Congress were Comrade Thach Van Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor; Comrade Hoang Van Tinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Trade Union; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Mai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; along with the ward leaders and 88 outstanding delegates representing nearly 10,875 union members and workers in Vo Cuong ward.
The Congress listened to a summary report on the results of union activities and the labor movement of Vo Cuong Ward since its establishment. The Vo Cuong Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 544 dated June 25, 2025 of the Executive Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, managing and directing 56 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with 10,875 union members.
Although it has only come into operation in the special context after the merger, the Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union has made efforts and achieved many specific results: The Trade Union has guided the grassroots trade unions to coordinate with employers to sign and supervise collective labor agreements with more beneficial terms for employees. The ward union has implemented the "Union Meal" program in 2025 according to Instruction No. 02 of the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee. As a result, 3,125 union members have benefited with a total expenditure from the union's financial resources of 100 million VND. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Ward Union proposed that the Provincial Federation of Labor give 108 gifts to female union members and female workers in difficult circumstances with a total value of 108 million VND. Activities to support social funds, visit policy families, and children of union members in difficult circumstances have also been actively participated. The Ward Trade Union Executive Committee has issued operating regulations, developed a work program, promptly grasped and guided the grassroots trade unions to resolve difficulties and problems during operations.
At the congress, Comrade Hoang Van Tinh, Member of the Standing Committee - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Industrial Park Trade Union of the Provincial Federation of Labor, announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman's position and the Inspection Committee of the Vo Cuong Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030. Announcing the Decision to appoint delegates to attend the 1st Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030. Accordingly, there are 11 comrades in the Executive Committee, 3 standing comrades, and 3 comrades of the Inspection Committee. Appointing comrade Nguyen Thanh Van - Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee - Chairman of the Vo Cuong Ward Trade Union.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Thach Van Chung expressed his joy and affirmed that the establishment of the Vo Cuong Ward Trade Union according to the policy of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee is a new step of development, aiming to gather, represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers in the area.
He basically agreed with 10 groups of targets, 03 breakthroughs and 8 solutions that the Ward Union proposed in the political report for the 2025-2030 term.
At the same time, Comrade Thach Van Chung suggested that the Executive Committee of the Trade Union should thoroughly grasp and deeply recognize the tasks of the Ward Trade Union in the new context in the spirit of Official Dispatch No. 4251/TLD dated June 12, 2025 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Focus on doing a good job of propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the tasks of the Trade Union organization, contributing to improving the political, cultural, legal, professional and technical qualifications of union members and workers. The ward union must be the "big brother" guiding, supporting the grassroots union to negotiate, sign and supervise the implementation of collective labor agreements and dialogues at the workplace.
He also expressed his belief that the Executive Committee of the Vo Cuong Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030, will inherit and promote the local cultural traditions well, be flexible and creative in implementing tasks, actively contribute to the people and the Ward Party Committee to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set by the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, building Vo Cuong Ward to become increasingly strong in economy, rich in cultural identity, elegant and hospitable.
The Congress approved targets, directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term in the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development". The Congress called on all union members and workers in Vo Cuong ward to promote the achieved results, overcome difficulties, and be determined to organize and effectively implement the targets and tasks set out in the Congress Resolution, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the First Provincial Trade Union Congress and the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, building Vo Cuong ward to develop rapidly and sustainably towards a green - smart urban area.
