On July 2, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor announced that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has just decided to establish and appoint personnel at 4 ward unions. The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Vice President of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor affirmed: "The establishment of a trade union organization at the commune and ward levels is an important step in the spirit of streamlining and efficiency, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
Thereby, the Trade Union organization will improve the effectiveness of activities to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Accordingly, the Pleiku Ward Trade Union, Gia Lai Province manages 6,344 union members and 87 grassroots unions and grassroots unions. Dien Hong Ward Trade Union manages 2,393 union members and 39 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions.

An Phu Ward Trade Union manages 1,950 union members and 34 grassroots unions and grassroots unions. Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union manages 1,603 union members and 30 grassroots unions and grassroots unions.
Ward unions all receive the transfer of the number of union members, unions, and grassroots unions from the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation.
Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Chairwoman of the Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union, Gia Lai Province, said that with the new operating model, trade union officials will be closer and pay more deeply attention to the lives of workers.
At the same time, the trade union is determined to focus on innovating methods of operation to achieve high efficiency in work, continuing to successfully fulfill the mission of trade unions at all levels towards union members and workers.
Currently, ward unions will continue to focus on developing grassroots unions in Gia Lai province. These grassroots unions attract the participation of a large number of freelance workers, who are those who do not have labor contracts and operate in many different industries such as: technology drivers, motorbike taxi drivers, craftsmen, construction workers, seasonal workers, etc.
Not only contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, but also bringing spiritual support and practical benefits to freelance workers. Thereby, gradually improving working conditions, improving welfare, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of disadvantaged groups of workers.
