Up to now, enterprises have planned Tet holidays, have plans to pay salaries, year-end bonuses, annual leave and other benefits for workers.
Regarding Lunar New Year bonuses in different types of enterprises, Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company has the lowest Tet bonus of VND 1,000,000/person; average VND 6,480,000/person (down 2% compared to 2024); highest VND 8,000,000/person.
Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company's Tet bonus has the lowest level of 100,000 VND/person; average 6,600,000 VND/person (increase 25% compared to 2024); highest 77,600,000 VND/person.
Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited has the lowest Tet bonus of VND 100,000/person; average VND 6,050,000/person (down 2% compared to 2024); highest VND 150,000,000/person.
Mr. Kurihara - General Director of Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Dai An Industrial Park, Hai Duong City) - said that for the Lunar New Year 2025, the company decided to give a bonus of 155% of the basic salary to its staff and workers. Like previous years, this year, the company arranged a shuttle bus to take workers from far away provinces home for Tet and to welcome them back to work.
According to preliminary statistics, most businesses choose to give higher Lunar New Year bonuses than New Year bonuses (businesses that offer bonuses usually apply a bonus level equal to about 1 month's salary according to the labor contract).
Salaries and bonuses of employees mostly tend to increase with a significant increase. Salaries of enterprises using many workers are FDI enterprises (increase of 11.6%) and private enterprises (increase of 25%).
In addition, the Lunar New Year bonus of private enterprises in 2025 recorded an increase of 25% compared to the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, the Lunar New Year bonus of FDI enterprises recorded a slight decrease of 2% compared to the same period in 2024.
This year, the Provincial Federation of Labor also recorded 86 enterprises reporting plans to simultaneously reward employees for both New Year and Lunar New Year (accounting for 41.1% of the total number of enterprises reporting).
