Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Mr. Hoang Tho Trung - Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial Federation of Labor - said that this is one of a series of practical activities to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
The contest is a form of extensive political activity, thereby strengthening propaganda and education on the heroic and glorious traditions and the development and innovation of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union.
"This is also an opportunity for union officials and employees to exchange and share experiences, thereby improving their knowledge and operational skills to meet the requirements and tasks in organizing, deploying and carrying out activities at the grassroots level" - Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized.
This year's "Excellent Trade Union Officer" contest in Lai Chau province attracted 11 delegations, with the participation of more than 200 candidates who are trade union officers, employees from the Labor Federations of districts, cities, industry trade unions and the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union.
According to the contest rules, participating teams will have to complete 3 parts: General knowledge; handling situations in union activities and talented union officials.
The contest aims to raise awareness among trade union officials at all levels about the position, role, functions and tasks of trade union organizations; to grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; and resolutions of trade unions at all levels. Thereby, improving the capacity and working methods of trade union officials to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
