On August 9, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Duc Lap Coffee Company Limited - said that the unit had just organized a "Union Meal" for union members and workers.
The company currently has more than 320 employees working in coffee farms far from the headquarters, so "Union Meal" is a rare occasion for everyone to gather together.
This is an opportunity for the union, employers and employees to sit together, listen, share, stick together and accompany to build the company to develop more, said Mr. Tuan.
Each "Union Meal" is worth 200,000 VND. Of which, the union supported 50,000 VND, the rest was sponsored by the company's Board of Directors. On this occasion, the union also presented 12 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) to union members in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Vu Duy Hung - a worker at the company shared: "We are very excited and grateful to be attending, meeting the Board of Directors and union officials to express our thoughts and aspirations".
Speaking at the program, Mr. Doan Van Su - Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that "Union Meal" has become an annual activity, receiving support from businesses and the response of workers.
In 2025, the program will be implemented from July 20 to September 2, peaking on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28) and National Day September 2.
To date, more than 20 enterprise trade unions have organized for over 16,000 workers to participate, with a total support budget of more than 1 billion VND.
