Duc Trong hands over 63 grassroots trade unions to Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation

Lam Dong - Duc Trong District Labor Federation has just announced the decision to dissolve and terminate 103 grassroots unions and hand over 63 affiliated grassroots unions.

On June 14, Mr. Luu Van Loi - Chairman of the Duc Trong District Labor Federation - said that the unit had just announced the decision to dissolve and hand over a number of grassroots unions according to the plan to reorganize the union apparatus.

The information was given at the 7th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Duc Trong District Labor Federation (term IX), term 2023 - 2028.

At the conference, Duc Trong District Labor Federation conducted a preliminary review of trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2025, and at the same time summarized the work of trade unions of schools in the 2024-2025 school year.

Currently, Duc Trong District Labor Federation is managing 166 grassroots unions with nearly 7,000 union members. Of which, the school sector has 70 grassroots unions with more than 2,000 union members.

Mr. Luu Van Loi said that in the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels in the area have organized many activities towards the grassroots level, practically caring for union members and workers.

Typically, nearly 6,000 workers in difficult circumstances were visited and given gifts with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND.

The cultural and sports movement is being vigorously implemented at the grassroots level. Most trade unions of agencies, units and enterprises organize cultural exchanges and sports competitions.

At the district level, Duc Trong District Labor Federation organized the "Workers' and Civil Servants' Festival" during Workers' Month, attracting more than 1,000 union members to participate.

These activities have spread widely to each agency, unit, and enterprise, meeting the entertainment and enjoyment needs of many union members and workers, Mr. Loi emphasized.

Duc Trong District Labor Federation also surveyed and admitted more than 220 new union members and established 2 grassroots unions in non-state enterprises.

The movement to build culturally standard agencies, units and enterprises continues to be promoted. Through review and evaluation, Duc Trong District Labor Federation has proposed to recognize 140 agencies, units and enterprises that meet cultural standards.

In the process of reorganizing and perfecting the apparatus, the District Labor Federation announced the decision to dissolve and terminate the operation of 103 grassroots unions of agencies and units receiving 100% of salaries from the State budget.

At the same time, 63 grassroots trade unions of units that do not receive 100% of their salaries from the State budget were handed over to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation.

On this occasion, Duc Trong District Labor Federation commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in the 2024-2025 school year.

Awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 1 collective and 3 individuals; awarded the "For the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union" Medal to 8 individuals.

Awarding the comprehensive emulation flag of the Provincial Labor Federation to 1 collective. Awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation to 11 collectives and 15 individuals.
